msn study groups

Hi all,

Being off campus students, we miss out on the benefits of tutorials and face to face contact that on campus students take for granted.

A number of study groups have been set up through msn, which run of an evening.

Monday: criminology 8pm-10pm
Tuesday: anthropology 7pm-10pm
Tuesday: accounting 7.30pm>
Thursday: law 7.00pm>
Thursday: mba 7.30pm>

These groups are all listed on the Deakin Uni Distance Students facebook site.
Joining is as simple as adding dusa to your friends list, so you can be added to the group.

I joined the anthropology group last semester and found it highly beneficial!

Hope we see some members at some of these groups. smile

Re: msn study groups

Hi all, just as an addiction, don't forget to add deakin-distance-students@live.com to your msn buddy list so that you can be added to these groups.

I apologise for not being around for the last few weeks for the Anthropology study group, but have had the flu. I was around last week but it was quiet. Will be on Tuesday night back to normal I hope.

I'm also happy to run a Holocaust one if there's others out there who are interested in joining in. Same time as the Anthropology one. Just let me know. Cheers, Ainslee

Re: msn study groups

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that msn support will now run from Monday to Thursday, 7pm to 9pm.
Also, the accounting study group will no longer be running.
It would be great to see some more students take advantage of these study groups.
As previous, add dusa to your msn friend list using the following name:  deakin-distance-students@live.com
If there is a specific study group that you would like to add, please ask the dusa rep that is on helping to invite you to that study group.

If any of this is confusing, leave us a message and we'll get back to you.

Happy studying, all. smile

Re: msn study groups

Hey Belinda,

You are very welcome.
Yes, the law group is still running on a Thursday night.  I know that Kim would welcome any new people with open arms.  The study groups are a great way to thrash out ideas and clarify things that just don't quite sit right!

It's great for us to be able to have contact with other off campus students, so I'm happy to help.
Enjoy.

Regards,
Amanda smile

Re: msn study groups

If you haven't yet joined us for the group, we meet on Msn on Monday - Thursday nights 7pm - 9pm.
Add Deakin-Distance-Students@live.com to your msn contacts.
Log onto msn at the correct time and ask to be added to the group.

PLEASE make sure you upddate your msn to the most current version, otherwise you may encounter problems when being invited to the group.

Re: msn study groups

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering, for those that haven't joined our facebook page yet, if there are any other study groups that you might be interested in.  Let us know, so we can see what we can offer. smile
